Antique chests are being repurposed in todays's homes in the most versatile of the ways these days. While some become coffee tables or the side tables, others are useful for their storage capacity as well as enhancing the decor in whatever room setting is chosen. For instance, we have this beautiful 16th century leather chest which is iron bound and painted. The dome shaped top, decorated with four coats of arms within a shield make this one a visual delight. Such trunks which work as chests have time and again been utilized in the bedroom at the foot of the bed.
