A FINE LATE 15TH CENTURY NORMAN CARVED OAK DOOR. CIRCA 1480.

THE WHOLE CARVED WITH GOTHIC TRACERY, IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT CARVED WITHIN A SHIELD ARE THE TRIDENT AND THE FORK, SYMBOLISING LAND AND SEA.

MOST PROBABLY FROM A MEDIEVAL GREAT HALL CUPBOARD.

THE ORIGINAL IRON LOCK PLATE REMAINS WITH HEART DECORATION. WONDERFUL COLOUR AND PATINATION.
