THE HEADBOARD WITH A C SCROLLED TOP RAIL ABOVE A GADROONED BAND WITH A PAIR OF DEEPLY CARVED PANELS BELOW WITH FLEUR DE LYS CENTRES AND SURROUNDED BY CARVED HEART DECORATION, FLANKED BY HEAVY GADROONED APPLIED MOULDINGS WITH IONIC MOUNTS AND A LUNETTE CARVED CANDLE SHELF WITH FOUR PLAIN PANELS BELOW. THE NINE PANELLED CARVED TESTER WITH CENTRAL DIAMOND LOZENGE CARVED BOSS AND KNULL CARVED FRIEZE AND CORNICE. THE HEAVY CUP AND COVER FOOT POSTS WITH STOP FLUTED COLUMBS AND IONIC TOPS. GOOD DARK COLOUR AND PATINATION. THIS BED WAS FULLY RESTORED 35 YEARS AGO AND IS IN A VERY GOOD STABLE CONDITION. CIRCA 1650 WITH LATER RESTORATIONS.
