THE TWO PLANK BACK OR TOP WITH CLEATED ENDS, THE SHAPED BEARERS WITH WOODEN DOWELS PIVOTING ON THE BACKS OF THE ARMS. THE SEAT ABOVE A CARVED FRIEZE WITH GEOMETRIC STRAPWORK SEMI-CIRCLES, THE FRONT FRIEZE OPENING AS A CUPBOARD WHICH IS VERY UNUSUAL. STANDING ON GUN BARREL TURNED LEGS UNITED BY STRETCHERS. TWO RETURN MOULDINGS MISSING.
IT IS VERY UNUSUAL TO FIND A CHAIR TABLE THAT SERVES THREE PURPOSES. CIRCA 1650. GOOD COLOUR AND PATINATION.
