A RARE PAIR OF HENRY VIII CARVED OAK PANELS. ENGLISH. CIRCA 1530.

EACH PANEL CARVED WITH PROTRUDING HEADS WITHIN A LEAF AND BUD DECORATED GROUND. ONE OF A MALE THE OTHER FEMALE IN THE COSTUME OF THE PERIOD. MOST PROBABLY FROM A HIGH STATUS MARRIAGE CUPBOARD. A SCREW HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE BACK OF THE MALE PANEL FOR EXTRA SUPPORT.
