AN EXTREMELY RARE AND ATTRACTIVE LATE 15TH/EARLY 16TH CENTURY GOTHIC OAK AUMBRY. ENGLISH / WELSH BORDERS. CIRCA 1500.

THIS VERY PRETTY EXAMPLE IS OF PLANK AND TENON CONSTRUCTION, IN ALMOST ENTIRELY ORIGINAL CONDITION, THE UPPER DOOR WITH IRON HASP IS FLANKED BY TWO PIERCED GOTHIC TRACERY VENTILATION CARVINGS, THE LOWER LARGER DOOR AGAIN WITH IRON HASP AND FLANKED BY TWO GOTHIC CARVED VENTILATION HOLES.THE WHOLE HAS A WONDERFUL ORIGINAL SURFACE AND IS AN EXTREMELY SCULPTURAL CUPBOARD.
