THIS BEAUTIFULLY CARVED MEDIEVAL CEILING BOSS WAS RECOVERED FROM A NOW DISMANTLED MEDIEVAL BUILDING IN TAUNTON, SOMERSET.

CARVED WITH A QUATREFOIL TO THE CENTRE FLANKED BY FOUR TREFOILS, EACH LEAF WITH KNULL CARVED EDGES.

WONDERFUL UNTOUCHED COLOUR AND PATINATION.

WEST COUNTRY. CIRCA 1480.

PROVENANCE- FROM A PRIVATE COTSWOLD COLLECTION.
