AN OUTSTANDING LATE MEDIEVAL OAK AND POLYCHROME SCULPTURE OF ST PETER.SOUTH NETHERLANDS. CIRCA 1470.

ST PETER IS SEATED ON A GOTHIC THRONE AND IS CROWNED AS THE BISHOP OF ROME. HIS ROBE IS DECORATED WITH AN ORPHYR. THIS IS A WONDERFUL LATE MEDIEVAL SCULPTURE.PURCHASED FROM A PRIVATE ENGLISH COLLECTION.PROBABLY LIMBURG. CIRCA 1470.
