A RARE HENRY VIII CARVED OAK PANEL. CIRCA 1530.

THIS DEEPLY CARVED TUDOR PANEL WITH CIRCULAR CENTER WITH A CARTOUCHE CARVED WITH THE INITIALS I.B WITH WHAT APPEARS TO BE A LOVE KNOT CARVING BETWEEN THE LETTERS. FLANKED BY LEAF AND BUD CARVING.

A DRAWING OF A SIMILAR DESIGN BY HANS HOLBEIN THE YOUNGER (1497-1543) IN THE BRITISH MUSEUM COLLECTION LONDON, CIRCA 1533, DEPICTING THE INITIALS OF HENRY VIII AND ANNE BOLEYN.
