AN EXTREMELY RARE AND WELL DOCUMENTED ENGLISH OAK COURT CUP-BOARD. CIRCA 1580.

THIS FINE ELIZABETHAN OAK COURT CUP-BOARD HAS A THREE TIER FORMATION, THE TOP SHELF SUPPORTED BY TWO TURNED REAR SUPPORTS WITH DROP FINIALS TURNED AND CARVED WITH LEAF DECORATION. THE CENTRAL FRONT SUPPORT IS MAGNIFICENTLY CARVED WITH A PAIR OF LIONS RAMPANT, CENTRED BY A FLUTED COLUMN WITH A GUILD MARK CARVED SYMBOL ABOVE, THE SECOND SHELF SUPPORTED BY TURNED REAR COLUMNS AND THICK TURNED AND FLUTED CUP AND COVER COLUMNS TO THE FRONT, AGAIN WITH LEAF CARVING TO THE FRONT, THE LOWER SHELF STANDING A BLOCK FEET.
