Illustrated and discussed in an article written by Victor Chinnery, Antique Collecting The Journal of the Antique Collectors′ Club, Volume 33, number 4, September 1998, p. 18, figure 6. The author notes, ′The high front stretcher is a fashion particularly associated with dining chairs in the last quarter of the 17th century, but also found on small tables′.
