We have also added the facility for the home page to automatically display the latest of our most recent antiques that we have added to the site. So now if you see an antique you like on the home page you can quickly click to see more details.

Bearing in mind the fact that more people visit our site via mobiles/tablets than via laptops/computers we have improved the look of our mobile / tablet site.

We would love to hear your comments and suggestions as to where we can make even more improvements.

Meanwhile we will continue to provide the high quality, fine and rare collection of early English antiques. Beautiful items such as  a rare English oak boarded chest from the late 15th century. (circa 1480). Tthis fantastic example of a gothic oak chest has an original single plank top with a scratch moulded top and original hinges, above a front chip carved with interlacing gothic roundels intersperced with bands of intricate square design carving.... now with a later lock plate.

We also provide rare examples of fine antiques from outside UK....  like this an early 17th century north italian carved, gilded and polychromed mirror. circa 1620. This large carved mirror depicts a pair of angels with arms crossed standing on plinths with putti heads above. the whole carved and gilded with scrolls and foliate decoration. the background of the carving in deep blue polychrome.
This antique and others are so much beter displayed on this new site... We hope you agree!
